Terms of Service

Accepting these terms

By using Football Tactics Board — the free online football tactics board and its related tool pages — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The terms are intentionally short because the tool is intentionally simple: everything runs in your browser, and your work stays in your browser.

The service

Football Tactics Board provides free, browser-based tactical board tools for football and soccer coaching: formation presets, draggable players and ball, drawing tools (arrows, lines, zones, text and freehand strokes), undo and redo, automatic local saving, and PNG/SVG export. The service requires no registration and no payment. Features may be added, changed or removed over time to improve the tools.

Your content

The tactical diagrams you create belong to you. The site claims no ownership over your formations, drawings, exports or any training content you produce with the tools. You may use, share, print and publish your diagrams freely, including for commercial purposes such as paid coaching materials, match programmes and published analyses.

You are responsible for the content you create and how you use it — for example, ensuring that diagrams naming real players comply with the rules of your club, league or federation, and with image and personality rights where applicable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to create unlawful, defamatory or harassing content, not to attempt to disrupt, overload or reverse the service infrastructure, and not to misrepresent the tool as medical, legal or professional safety advice. Automated scraping of the site at a scale that degrades service for other users is not permitted.

Provided "as is"

The tools are provided free of charge and "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Coaching is your responsibility: diagrams produced with the tool are illustrative aids, not professional advice, and the suitability of any drill, formation or set-piece routine for a specific team, age group or physical condition is a judgement only you as a coach can make.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the tools — including, without limitation, training injuries, match results, lost diagrams caused by browser data clearing, or export failures on specific devices.

Availability

The service is offered on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime guarantee, and maintenance, updates or discontinuation may cause temporary or permanent unavailability. Because your board is saved locally in your browser, an outage never deletes your work — but you should export important diagrams, as cleared browser data cannot be recovered.

Third-party services

The site may embed third-party analytics or advertising providers. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and this site does not control them. Your use of browser features to block such services does not restrict your use of the tactical tools.

Changes to these terms

The operator may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its revision date. Continuing to use the site after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing note

These terms do not replace mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
